AN IMPORTANT NEW ROLE – DIRECTOR of HEAVY-LIFT PROJECTS

We’re on an exciting growth journey, As we’re setting up a new team within our Heavy Lift Business Unit, and we’re looking for an exceptional individual to join us as our new Director of Heavy Lift Projects

The new Director will be the driving force behind our intent to develop an industry-leading team, delivering major UK infrastructure projects. It’s a significant appointment, and the successful candidate will have a key role in the business’s development and play an active part in ensuring the ongoing success of the wider Osprey Group. We’re looking for someone who’s experienced, committed, and keen to help us live our ‘one team’ approach. We put a premium on highly analytical skills, and abilities to drive strong client relationships. It’s all about continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Commercial activity – ensuring a healthy pipeline of work is generated
  • Service delivery – delivering and managing contracts safely and efficiently through the team
  • Leadership – building and developing a new team in Osprey with real purpose and energy
  • Internal collaboration – collaborating to deliver the full set of Osprey’s multi-mode construction logistics.

WE’RE HIRING SPMT OPERATORS

Would you like to join our team as an SPMT Operator, working in the UK?  You’ll have at least two years’ experience working with SPMTs already, and be a key member of our team – responsible for the execution of onsite operations using our equipment. As part of your work, you’ll also be helping us to support the growth of our team, making sure that safety remains a top priority.

The successful candidate needs to be experienced, confident, and able to work well as part of a team, obviously. But we’re looking for someone with leadership capabilities, too; someone who’s keen to help us live our ‘one team’ approach, and be responsible for the full life cycle of each project. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Operational Delivery – Following the Osprey Way of Working, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and effective manner.
  • Site Relationships – developing and maintaining effective working relationships with Osprey colleagues and supporting client conversations when required. 
  • SPMT Expertise – both on site operations (to include preforming basic maintenance, inspections etc.) and pre operation planning providing advice and when required support Project Managers or Project Engineers in the engineering stages of projects.

JOIN US AS A HEAVY-LIFT RIGGER OPERATOR

We have an outstanding reputation for using our heavy lift cranes to deliver clients’ projects, no matter how challenging the lift or the assets we’re working with. We’re looking for a Rigger Operator to join us – someone with at least 3 years’ experience on 500t+ mobile cranes or similar. You’ll need CPCS Mobile Crane Operator and Slinger Signaler Blue Cards – and ideally we’re looking for someone who’s had plenty of experience working within the renewables sector, or oil & gas, or in the ports.

The successful candidate needs to be experienced, confident, and work well as part of a team, clearly. But we’re looking for someone with leadership capabilities, too; someone who’s keen to help us live our ‘one team’ approach, and be responsible for the full life cycle of each project. You’ll be accountable for:

  • Operational Delivery – Following the Osprey Way of Working, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and effective manner.
  • Site Relationships – developing and maintaining effective working relationships with Osprey Teams and supporting client requirements when required.
  • Heavy Cranes Expertise – both on site operations (to include preforming basic maintenance, inspections etc.) and preoperational planning providing advice and support to Project Managers, Project Engineers and Heavy lift teams in the engineering stages of projects.
