SELF-PROPELLED MODULAR TRANSPORTERS

We have one of the largest SPMT fleets based in the UK. Self-propelled modular transporters let us offer an unlimited range of lifting options – different modules with multiple axle lines to accommodate various project needs. We’ve also recently introduced a number of Euro 5 compliant power packs.

What’s more, we do all of our own transport engineering, capacity and stability calculations in-house – we’ve developed our own software – which means our teams can think on their feet, act quickly, and overcome any challenges rapidly.

FLEXIBILITY AND CAPABILITY

The deck heights of our SPMTs can be adjusted hydraulically to lift and lower the load, and each SPMT can be fitted with its own engine and steering system.

We can connect the SPMT modules – side-by-side or end-to end – or we can operate them in synchronised mini-fleets. This flexibility enables us to deploy the right combination of SPMTs to lift and move virtually any heavy load.

OSPREY’S SPMTs

  • Combination of 4-axle (144te capacity) and 6-axle, (216te) capacity trailers
  • 1500mm travelling height +/- 300mm
  • Scheuerle Z180, Z350, and Z390 power packs
  • All-wheel steering to +/- 130 degrees
  • Scheuerle-qualified SPMT operators
  • Euro 5 compliant

We also own an array of ancillary equipment including coupling boxes of various widths/offsets, pipe racks etc. to meet all combination requirements.

Osprey’s SPMT Fleet Enhanced InterCombi and Power Booster Pack

These state-of-the-art InterCombis are fully compatible with Scheuerle InterCombi and Eurocombi modules.

  • Modular versatile platform trailer
  • Designed for high loads and manoeuvrability
  • Coupled lengthwise and transversely
  • Adapt dumb axle with Power Boosters
  • The integration of a power booster pack comes as a pivotal enhancement, increasing Osprey’s Self-Propelled ModularTransporter (SPMT) fleet by an impressive 20 axle lines.

    CASE STUDY

    SPMTs OVERCOME CHALLENGES

In many ways, our SPMTs are the heart of our lifting operations. Our teams use them so often, we see them as a natural extension to other equipment. They let us create solutions for many engineering challenges.
