Osprey wins RoSPA Gold Award 2023

We’re thrilled – Osprey’s approach to QHSE has been recognised by RoSPA, the Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents, with a Gold Health & Safety Award.

The way we manage Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) at Osprey is the key to each project’s success. It’s at the heart of our engineering. We build safety in by design, and try to lead by example on-site and off. Ultimately, this ensures a people-focused safer service: a way of working that minimises risk, prevents injuries, and delivers environmentally aware logistics that meet or exceed expectations.

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is the largest occupational health and safety awards programme in the UK. Now into its 67th year, the Awards have almost 2,000 entries every year, covering nearly 50 countries and a reach of over seven million employees. The programme recognises organisations’ commitment to continuous improvement in the prevention of accidents and ill health at work, looking at entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “We are thrilled that Osprey has won a RoSPA Gold Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”

Dean Graham, QHSE Manager: “QHSE should be a philosophy, it should be intrinsic to every aspect of specialist logistics. Having picked up a Silver award last year, this year’s win shows just how determined we are to continuously improve what we’re doing – making sure QHSE is a natural priority for everyone involved, at every stage and, in every part of every project. I’m delighted. Everyone in our team should feel proud of this achievement.”

Any organisation that’s recognised with a RoSPA Award, is deemed to be working to world-class health and safety standards. Wendy Kenny, Chief Operating Officer: “QHSE is so much more than an add-on for us, it’s absolutely integral to the way we work. I’m very pleased, our teams have embraced the spirit of QHSE and embedded best practice in everything we do.”
